Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery is holding a special free history session celebrating entertainer Larry Grayson on Saturday 15 August.

The Hands on History event will give visitors the chance to see photographs and documents connected with Grayson, including images that have recently been donated and have not previously been exhibited.

The session runs from 11am until 3.30pm at the museum in Riversley Park. Admission is free and there is no requirement to book. Children attending must be accompanied by an adult.

Grayson was born William White in Banbury but was raised in Nuneaton and became closely associated with the town. He became one of Britain’s best-known television entertainers, including presenting The Generation Game.

The museum’s permanent local history gallery also includes material exploring Grayson and other parts of Nuneaton and Bedworth’s history.

The Larry Grayson Hands on History session takes place at Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery, Riversley Park, Coton Road, on Saturday 15 August.
