An elderly man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a serious collision in Bulkington. Warwickshire Police said a red Renault and a black Mercedes collided on Coventry Road at around 8.15pm on Saturday, 19 September. A 91-year-old man from Ashfield, who was a passenger in the Renault, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said a 19-year-old man from Nuneaton, who was driving the Mercedes, was arrested on Sunday morning on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs. Officers are appealing for witnesses and are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the collision. Anyone with information should contact Warwickshire Police quoting incident 401 of 19 September. The investigation is ongoing.
