Another weekend road closure is planned in Nuneaton town centre as work continues around the Wheat Street junction. Warwickshire County Council says Wheat Street, between Bond Gate and Bridge Street, will close along with the full length of Justice Walk from 8pm on Friday 21 August until up to 4am on Monday 24 August. The closure forms part of the Transforming Nuneaton highway improvement programme. A signed diversion will be in place, with vehicles directed via Vicarage Street for northbound journeys. The council says journeys heading south will be largely unaffected. The authority is advising drivers to follow signed diversion routes and allow extra time for journeys through the town centre. Further weekend closures are also scheduled for 4–7 September and 18–21 September.
