Detectives are appealing for information after a man was seriously injured in an assault in Leamington. Warwickshire Police said officers were called at around 1pm on Wednesday 9 September to a report of an assault in the Princes Drive area. The victim suffered a serious wound to his face after reportedly being approached by a man who was in possession of a knife. He was taken to hospital and police said his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. No arrests had been made when the appeal was issued and officers said they were treating the incident as isolated. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is asked to contact Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting crime reference 23/40526/26.
