Warwickshire County Council says the carriageway on the B4455 Fosseway in Radford Semele has been identified as needing repair and that carriageway resurfacing will be carried out in partnership with its term maintenance contractor, Balfour Beatty. The council states the works are due to start on 24 August 2026 with an anticipated end date of 28 August 2026, and that work will take place at night only between 20:00 and 06:00.
The council says the resurfacing will be undertaken using a road closure. It adds that access to businesses and properties will be maintained where practicable but that this cannot be guaranteed, and asks residents and business owners to plan accordingly. The council advises drivers to proceed slowly through the works and to be aware of raised ironwork and temporary road surfaces.
Warwickshire County Council says there will inevitably be some disruption to households and businesses but that every effort will be made to keep this to a minimum. The council has published supporting documents for the scheme, including a letter to residents, a closure and diversion plan, a legal order and a site notice.
The council provides contact details for further enquiries: a Balfour Beatty site supervisor number, 07824 089 558 (Monday–Friday, 09:00–16:30), and Warwickshire County Council highways contact 01926 412515 (Monday–Friday, 09:00–16:30). The council published the notice on 18 August 2026 and invited feedback via its County Highways feedback form, the council says.
