Warwickshire will take centre stage in international cycling today as the final stage of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women takes place across the county.
The fifth and final stage starts and finishes in Leamington Spa on Sunday, August 23, with riders tackling a 123.8km — 77-mile — route through Warwickshire before returning to the town for the finish near Jephson Gardens.
From Leamington, the peloton heads north towards Kenilworth before passing through Stoneleigh and towards Princethorpe. The route then follows the Fosse Way south, passing through Wellesbourne and Shipston-on-Stour before turning north again.
Riders will face some of the toughest sections of the day at Sun Rising Hill and Burton Dassett Hills Country Park before travelling through Southam and back towards Leamington.
The route also includes Queen of the Mountain sections at Sun Rising Hill and Burton Dassett Hills Country Park, as well as a sprint section on Friz Hill near Wellesbourne.
Spectators across the county will therefore have several opportunities to see the race as it passes through Warwickshire.
Anyone travelling around the route should also be prepared for disruption, with road closures and traffic management in place as the race passes.
The Warwickshire stage brings the 2026 Tour of Britain Women to its conclusion, with the overall winner set to be decided in the county.
