A five-day programme of free sport and movement activities has begun in Coventry city centre. Sports Fest is running in Broadgate from Tuesday 11 August to Saturday 15 August, with activities due to start from 11am each day. Coventry City Council says the programme will include football, athletics, racket sports, dance, fitness sessions and inclusive activities designed for a range of ages and abilities. The event forms part of the city centre Big Summer Takeover, a wider programme of free family activities taking place during August. Sports Fest is centred around Broadgate and the Lady Godiva statue, with sessions scheduled to run until 4pm each day. Visitors are advised to check the council event listing for any last-minute programme changes.
