Five days of free sport and movement activities are coming to Coventry city centre as Sports Fest returns to Broadgate.
The event runs from Tuesday 11 August until Saturday 15 August, with activities taking place from 11am to 4pm each day around the Lady Godiva statue.
Families and visitors will be able to try a range of activities including football, athletics, racket sports, dance, fitness sessions and inclusive sports. There is no admission charge.
Sports Fest forms part of Coventry City Council’s Big Summer Takeover, a programme of free family events taking place in the city centre throughout August. Other activities in the programme include outdoor cinema, street performances, BMX displays and a zipwire.
The council says the programme is intended to give families free activities during the school holidays and encourage more people to spend time in the city centre.
Sports Fest takes place at Broadgate from 11am to 4pm, 11–15 August 2026.
