Rugby town centre is set for a creative takeover this Saturday with a one-day arts festival aimed at families and visitors. Summer Sessions: Arts Festival takes place on Saturday 22 August and is being promoted by Rugby Borough Council as a special celebration of art, creativity and culture. The event forms part of the council's programme of outdoor events in Rugby town centre during 2026. The council says the festival is designed for the whole family, adding another free or low-cost reason for people to visit the town centre during the school summer holidays. It follows a series of summer activities in Rugby, including outdoor cinema screenings and the Absolute PLAYHEM programme earlier this month. Residents heading into the centre on Saturday may therefore find parts of the town busier than usual while activities are taking place. C&W Today will update this article if Rugby Borough Council publishes further programme or access information before the event.
